Inspiring Women in the Beauty Industry
As this is IAB one year anniversary. I thought it would be fitting to have a look at inspiring women in the beauty industry who have been trail blazers.
1. LIVE TINTED – DEEPICA MUTYALA
Live tinted was created by Deepica Mutyala after her video showcasing her red lipstick hack went viral. Live Tinted is a digital community that focuses on inclusive and diverse beauty. She has recently launched her successful hue sticks which are internationally available and cater for all skin types.
2. LIHA BEAUTY
It a natural, organic, and vegan skincare brand that fuses African roots and British attitudes. Founded by Liha Okunniwa and Abi Oyepitan. Some of their stand-out products are Gold Shea Butter and the Queen Idia candle created using Nigerian ingredients.
3. GLOW RECIPE – SARAH LEE & CHRISTINE CHANG
Glow Recipe is a standout Korean skincare brand. It was founded by Sarah Lee & Christine Chang. All products are vegan, and I am sure you must have seen the famous watermelon sleeping pack all over the gram.
4. TRESLÚCE BEAUTY BY BECKY G
Treslúce beauty celebrates Latinx heritage and culture. They are a vegan-friendly and cruelty free brand. It is a makeup brand that focuses on bold bright colours and is based on Mexican heritage.
5. SOKO GLAM – CHARLOTTE CHO
Chartlotte Cho is South Korean-American founder of Soko Glam. Soko Glam has bought Korean skincare to the forefront making it available to the western community.
6. PATRICE GRELL YURSIK
Known as the “The Godmother of brown beauty blogging”. She is the founder of Afrobella. The award-winning natural hair, skincare, and beauty products for women of all colours.
7. PAT MCGRATH
A highly acknowledged makeup artist who has created her own makeup brand to suit all tones and women of colour.
